As Keelvar’s customers start to run e-sourcing events on our Sourcing Optimizer platform, a key ingredient for success is customer adoption and application of best practices. Sourcing team members greatly benefit from a flexible, efficient onboarding experience that acknowledges their time is limited and results must be delivered quickly.
Step forward Keelvarsity, Keelvar’s new, fully online self-service training platform that will enhance our customer’s onboarding and continuous education journey. Rather than bogging down team members with heavy training manuals, Keelvarsity provides an easy, convenient, and comprehensive way to get to know Keelvar’s products at a user’s own pace.
We are hosting Keelvarsity on Learnupon’s Learning Management System (LMS) platform: a software application for the administration, automation, and delivery of educational courses, training programs, or learning and development programs. This LMS is essentially a one-stop place to learn about Keelvar’s products.
We have carefully curated our courses so sourcing practitioners can learn everything they need to know to start using Keelvar’s Sourcing Optimizer, and they can do it from the comfort of their own home and at their own pace. This is particularly important for getting all members of the team up to speed and consistently trained without having to worry about synchronizing schedules across time zones.
Keelvarsity also allows our customer users to dip in and out of the training whenever they have time (essentially hitting “pause”). For example, the user can start a course in the morning while having their coffee and then return to it when there is time available between tasks.
Keelvarsity launched with the release of our Keelvar Sourcing Optimizer certification path, which includes 25 bite-sized courses and a final exam that leads to the official Keelvar Sourcing Optimizer certification.
Becoming Keelvar-certified in Sourcing Optimizer essentially credentials that a user has proven their skills to use Sourcing Optimizer to apply optimization to a broad range of spend categories and paths, from annual strategic RFPs to reactive spot bids. The certificate can also be shared on your LinkedIn or Twitter account to promote this expertise in sourcing optimization.
At Keelvar, we pride ourselves on developing out-of-the-box, user-friendly tools that foster widespread adoption across teams, but the value of good training cannot be overstated when it comes to getting the most out of our products.
As explained by Keelvar customer Grupo Nutresa during a webinar in late 2020, by having six of its 10 active users of the Keelvar Sourcing Optimizer tool classed as “experts”, the food processing giant has been able to successfully optimize a wide variety of complex spend categories including packaging, MRO, marketing, and logistics.
Keelvarsity will continue to expand to include advanced courses for using Sourcing Optimizer, courses focusing on our other innovative products, including our Intelligent Sourcing Automation Botlines (which currently includes our Ocean Bot and Air Bot) and courses covering our new features and functionalities as they are released.
