Business Development Representative (BDR) role

Keelvar is seeking an experienced, energetic and results-focused professional to drive sales success as a Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on the North America market. While the company is headquartered in Cork, Ireland, this is a remote position that will support our North American marketing and sales efforts.

The BDR (level 2) for North America will have responsibility for outreach and communication to inbound contacts expressing interest in Keelvar and our solutions, with the goal of educating and engaging those individuals for business sales opportunities. They will also work on outbound, targeted research and prospecting to target accounts in partnership with our selling team.

The BDR will be measured on the number of qualified sales engagements they secure each month. There are additional financial bonuses for over-performance against target goals as well as for generated engagements that advance to sales pipeline opportunities.

The day-to-day work of the BDR will include:
  • Spearheading targeted account research, contact discovery, and outbound outreach to market segments or specific accounts identified by marketing and sales.
  • Conducting timely follow-up on new leads and inquiries generated by marketing campaigns, based on response time metrics, via a mix of email and phone outreach.
  • Conducting ongoing nurturing of existing leads and past inquiries, seeking to improve engagement and response.
  • Collaborating with sales team members regarding hand-off of leads and scheduling of next-step “discovery call” sales meetings.
  • Maintaining accurate data and process compliance in Keelvar’s CRM system (Hubspot) and other sales documentation, including regular reporting on productivity and results.
Strategic work of the BDR will include:
  • Working with the sales and marketing teams to develop context-appropriate follow-up content and tactics based on different lead personas and interest areas.
  • Monitoring and refining data reporting to show outreach coverage and outcomes, with goal of continuous improvement to drive better results over time.
  • Staying current on Keelvar product offerings, messaging, procurement and supply chain trends, competitive positioning, and BDR best practices.
The ideal BDR Level II candidate for Keelvar in North America will have:
  • At least 2 years of similar experience as a business or sales development representative or inside sales team member, therefore direct knowledge of the work needed in this role.
  • Strong bias to candidates with software/tech B2B enterprise sales experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical approach to communication strategy.
  • Familiarity with sales CRM tools (i.e. Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • A collaborative, team-oriented nature but also able to work independently with strong accountability.
  • Based in North America.
